DIRECTIONS
We meet in the main car park at Lyme, by the picnic tables in front of the information office. We have a 15 minute walk to the site which takes us behind Lyme Hall and up towards Hampers Bridge. The walk is often punctuated by visits from the local sheep, highland cattle or resident deer who are all very friendly!
NB. The car access and parking charge at Lyme is waived for individuals attending Skylarks Forest school.
We are based at Hampers Wood, a private woodland setting
within the National Trust's Lyme Estate - Disley
We are fortunate to have established a partnership with Lyme - our local National Trust Estate. We are based at Hampers Wood. This is a private, walled site encompassing a deciduous broadleaved woodland with its own stream. Hampers Wood is used exclusively by Skylarks Forest School and cannot be accessed by the general public. This enables careful management and sustainable use of the site to ensure we protect and preserve the wild environment we have the privilege of accessing.
